After living
in Holland for thirteen years, Sandi now lives in Colorado with her husband,
four children, a cat, and too many spiders.
Sandi Rog is
an award-winning author. Her work has appeared in The Rocky Mountain Christian, Christian Woman Magazine,
Affaire de Coeur, Sister Triangle and Writer's Digest.
She is a
writer of hysterical—er—historical fiction. She has also written several
children's stories and hopes to someday see those published.
Sandi didn't
always want to be a writer. She had other plans. Like becoming an actress or a
singer. Once she hit college, she decided acting and singing weren’t for her.
But there was always one constant: writing.
In fifth
grade, she wrote a poem that an adult didn’t believe she wrote. She was shocked
by his accusation because she had indeed written the poem all by myself. At the
time, she didn’t realize his accusation was a complement.
She also
wrote some short stories for a project in Junior High. The teacher thought one
of her stories was true and shared with the class how important it is that we
“write what we know.” She destroyed the teacher’s point when she announced that
the story was actually fiction. She doesn’t think the teacher was too happy
with her after that. However, by this time she was old enough to see the
compliment.
In high
school, after convincing her mom that the 17 absences she had in English were a
computer glitch (she still had an "A"), you'd think she would have
realized she had a knack for words and for "telling stories."
So, here she
is. She strike’s the keys on her magic keyboard and ancient ruins emerge to
life and fierce warriors take beautiful heroines captive.

Sandi,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your cancer. I don't know what to say except I will pray. I am writing a short story about a little girl who has cancer.
If there is anything I can do let me know. I lost my husband in Oct unexpectedly. Just wanted to drop you a note and your book Walks Alone sounds so good
Melinda
Melinda, I'm so sorry about the loss of your husband. So, so sorry. I lost my stepdad in April from cancer. xxx
DeleteHi Sandi, Well done on your amazing journey and recovery!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if i could ask you a few question, I dont have cancer but i dont want it either! Along with taking B17 did you follow a certain diet? Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
Stacey xoxox
Hi, Stacey. I juiced a bit, and now every morning, I have a smoothie with fruits and veggies. I've cut back on quite a bit of meat from my diet, though I still eat it. A good way to prevent cancer is to eat more raw fruits and veggies and eat the seeds of fruits: apples, peaches, apricots, etc.
DeleteIm currently juicing and making fresh fruit/veg smoothies. I have cut out all meat except fish (Salmon & Tuna) My grandmother has terminal liver Cancer for the past 2 years i have watched her go through hell to the exstent that i changed my life to prevent cancer. I will now be giving her the B17!! Is there any medcation or food that she shouldnt take with B17?
DeleteThanks Stacey xoxox
I don't know of anything one should or shouldn't take with B17. A GREAT book to get your hands on that would be very helpful in answering these kinds of questions is Laetrile Case Histories by Richardson and Griffin. I'm sure you can find it on Amazon, or maybe even the Library. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I'm amazed she's lasted as long as she has. I hope the B17 will help her. I take 1000mg a day. Bless you! xxx
DeleteStacey, you can find a link to that book I told you about by clicking on the tab above "How I Beat Cancer with B17." You'll see the book on the left-hand side. Click on that, and it will take you to where you can buy it on Amazon. Be sure to eat your seeds. Those all have B17 in them.
DeleteThanks so much Sandi. Im ordering it right now. Thankyou for you help :) xoxox
